What does Export Layout create?
A portable data-only profiles.lua backup containing both locations, applications, desktops, and window sizes. Normal use no longer requires downloading it.
What exactly does Caps Lock+A do?
It uses the layout currently installed in Hammerspoon. At the Maine desk it opens or reuses the governed windows, moves them to the correct ultrawide desktops, sizes them, verifies each destination, and returns both monitors to their first desktop.
Why can’t the website move the windows itself?
A normal website is deliberately blocked from controlling Mac applications and Mission Control. Hammerspoon supplies that permission locally and verifies every destination.
How do new Mac desktops appear here?
Create them in Mission Control, then reload Screens. The local bridge reports the real desktop counts without pairing; Screens adds the missing tabs to that location without deleting desktops or moving existing app assignments.
How does automatic apply stay safe?
The bridge listens only on this computer, requires the paired password, accepts only Screens, validates every frame, and moves windows only after an explicit Send To This Mac click.
What does Memorize This Mac do?
Arrange your windows by hand first. Memorize This Mac then reads every open window on every desktop, snaps each one to the nearest planner width, and saves the result as this location's layout. It replaces the location's previous window plan, changes nothing on the Mac itself, and the first memorize after Hammerspoon restarts can take about a minute.
